As it was promised before, that we start open beta testing of L2TP\/IPSec protocol. Here will be described how to setup new L2TP connection under Windows 7 manually using your existing Seed4.Me<\/a> account.<\/p>\n

During beta testing period L2TP\/IPSec is available only on NL servers and no Automatic Setup<\/a> possible. OK, now let’s start.<\/p>\n

Step 1.<\/h3>\n

Press “Start<\/em>” button, type “VPN<\/strong>” in “Search programs and files<\/em>” field and press Enter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 2.<\/h3>\n

You have to enter nl.seed4.me<\/strong> as L2TP server address and display name can be anything, for instance “Seed4.Me L2TP<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Make sure you selected “Don’t connect right now; Just set it up, so I can connect later.<\/em>”<\/p>\n

Step 3.<\/h3>\n

Next, enter your login and password. They should be the same as for Seed4,Me<\/a> website.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Choose “Remember the password<\/em>” to save time later and press Next<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Step 4.<\/h3>\n

Skip that step, by pressing Close<\/em> button.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Step 5.<\/h3>\n

Now you have to open “Control Panel\\Network and Internet\\Network Connections<\/em>” in the Shell, select previously created “Seed4.Me L2TP<\/strong>” connection, right-click it and select Properties<\/em>.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Step 6.<\/h3>\n

Skip “General<\/em>” tab and open tab “Security<\/em>“. Choose “Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPSec (L2TP\/IPSec)<\/em>” as your type of VPN.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Keep “Require encryption (disconnect if server declines)<\/em>” and make sure that “Microsoft CHAP Version 2 (MS-CHAP-v2)<\/em>” is chosen as authentication protocol. Then press “Advanced settings<\/em>” button to setup IPSec.<\/p>\n

Step 7.<\/h3>\n

Choose “Use preshared key for authentication<\/em>” and enter seed4me<\/strong> as a key.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Then, press OK to close the dialog.<\/p>\n

Step 8.<\/h3>\n

Save all changes, close all dialogs and come back to “Control Panel\\Network and Internet\\Network Connections<\/em>“. Double click Seed4.Me L2TP<\/strong> connection, enter the same password and login as for website and press “Connect<\/em>“.<\/p>\n\"L2TP<\/a>\n

Wait till connection is established. And now you are Done!<\/p>\n
